Google will invest $10 billion in India over the next five to seven years with the aim of positioning in the digital ecosystem of the world’s fifth-largest economy that is emerging as a battleground for global internet giants.

“We’ll do this through a mix of equity investments, partnerships, and operational, infrastructure and ecosystem investments,” Pichai said. Pichai also had a talk with PM Narendra Modi on India’s digital innovations.
